And just for all you Uru fans, I made a
collection for Webshots. You can find out all about
Webshots and download a zipped file of my collection for
a limited time at http://home.cfl.rr.com/greypiffle/index.htm
For no good reason, other than to
continue our poetry recital of the other night in TMP on
Katran (I only gave the first quatrain), I offer my very
favorite of Shakespeare's Sonnets (#116):
Let me
not to the marriage of true minds Admit impediments.
Love is not love Which alters when it alteration
finds, Or bends with the remover to
remove:
Oh, no! it is an ever-fixéd mark, That
looks on tempests and is never shaken; It is the star
to every wandering bark, Whose worth's unknown,
although his height be taken.
Love's not time's
fool, though rosy lips and cheeks Within his bending
sickle's compass come. Love alters not with his brief
hours and weeks, But bears it out even to the edge of
doom.
If this be error and upon me proved, I
never writ, nor no man ever loved.
Lovely, Hogarth. I offer here a
favourite tear-jerker of mine: Remember, by
Christina Rosetti:
Remember me when I am gone
away, Gone far away into the silent land; When you
can no more hold me by the hand, Nor I half turn to
go yet turning stay. Remember me when no more day by
day You tell me of our future that you
plann'd: Only remember me; you understand It will
be late to counsel then or pray. Yet if you should
forget me for a while And afterwards remember, do not
grieve: For if the darkness and corruption leave A
vestige of the thoughts that once I had, Better by
far you should forget and smile Than that you should
remember and be sad.
Hi Hogarth - the pictures are great -
you should be a professional photographer
In fact I nominate
you as the official URU in cavern photographer - so make
sure you stick around for the resurrection of URU
because we are sure going to need you.
I will be
processing my pictures today and will post some on here
too - got a great one of you last night
